Pay your Electricity Bill online through Paytm

Gone are the days when we use to go to the electricity office to pay our electricity bills. Now you can easily pay your electricity bills (BSES, Reliance, Tata Power, CESC, BESCOM etc.) online from the comfort of your home or from anywhere through Paytm. Just provide your consumer number to pay your electricity as per your convenience through Paytm.

How to pay electricity bill online through Paytm

1. Log in to Paytm using your mobile number/email Id and password.

2. In the left-hand side of the screen, you can see “Electricity” option. Click on that option.

3. From the drop-down menu, select your state where you are living.

4. Select your electricity board/provider from given options.  

5. Now enter your consumer number (The consumer number is written on the top of your electricity bill).

6. Click on “Proceed” button. It will automatically fetch your billing details like name, payable amount, due date, and the name of the company.

7. Click on “Proceed To Pay” tab.

8. In this step, enter a promo code if you have one or select a promo code from the given offers and click on “apply” tab. If you don't want to use a promo code then you can skip this step. A sample of offer is shown in the below image.

Once promo code applied it will show a message as “Thank you for participating in "----------“ contest. You will get ----% Paytm Wallet Loyalty Cashback within 24 hrs if you are Lucky one.

9. Click on “Proceed to pay Rs. ……

10. Now, pay your bill using paytm wallet, debit card, credit card or net banking facility.

Note: Please note that your service provider will take two working days to consider bill paid in their accounts.

Payment confirmation and receipt

Go to your orders in your profile to see the status of your electricity bill payment. If it is successful it will show under the status as “Your order is successful”. You can also download your bill payment receipt. To download bill payment receipt, click on the paid bill then select “Paytm Payment Receipt".

Hope now you will pay your electricity bills online through Paytm from the comfort of your home as per your convenience.
