Authority of India (UIDAI) has recently launched a new service to order Aadhaar reprint.
The order Aadhar reprint is a paid service. This service allows you to order
Aadhaar reprint by paying a nominal fee. The reprinting fee is Rs 50 including GST
and speed post charges as well. In this post, let’s look at how to order Aadhaar
reprint online.
Order Aadhaar Reprint
The service is launched by
UIDAI on its website on a pilot basis. You can use this service, if you have
lost or misplaced your Aadhaar card. You can order Aadhaar reprint online. Once
ordered, your reprinted Aadhaar card will be handed over to the Post office within
5 working days for delivery via speed post. You can check delivery status by using
Department of Post Status Track Services.
Prerequisite to order Aadhaar reprint
You must know either your
Aadhaar Number (UID) or Virtual Identification Number (VID) to give Aadhaar
reprinting request. Your mobile number should be registered with your Aadhaar card
to receive the OTP. You can also order Aadhaar reprint with a non-registered /alternate
mobile number without being able to preview Aadhaar details. You also need
to pay the reprinting fees.
How to order Aadhaar reprint?
Below is the step-by-step
guide on how to order your Aadhaar card reprint online.
1. Visit UIDAI official
website, www.uidai.gov.in or https://resident.uidai.gov.in
2. Find and click on “Order
Aadhaar Reprint (Pilot Basis)” link under Aadhaar Services.
3. A new page will open on
your computer screen. Here you need to enter your 12 digit Aadhaar card number or
16 digit Virtual Identification Number (VID).
4. Now enter the security
code.
5. If your mobile number is
not registered with your Aadhaar number, click on check box “If you do not have
a registered mobile number, please check in the box” below the security code
tab. Here you need to enter non-registered / alternate mobile number.
6. If your mobile number is
registered with your Aadhaar card, then click on “Send OTP” tab.
7. An OTP will be sent to your
mobile number. Enter the OTP received on mobile number.
8. Select the check box
against “Terms and Conditions”. Click on “Submit” tab to complete OTP
verification.
9. On next screen, the preview
of your Aadhaar card details will appear for verification by you (Only if your mobile
number is registered with your Aadhaar card). If your Aadhaar details are correct,
click on “Make payment” option. You will be re-directed to Payment Gateway page.
(If you Aadhaar details are not correct then you need to visit nearest the
Aadhaar Centre to get your Aadhaar details corrected.
10. Make payment using your debit
card, credit card, net banking or UPI. You need to pay a fee of Rs 50 for
getting your Aadhaar card reprinted.
11. Once payment is successful,
a receipt will get generated with digital signature. You can download it in PDF
format.
12. Here you will receive the Service
Request Number (SRN) on your mobile via SMS.
13. You can check the status
of your request till dispatch of Aadhaar card on “Check Aadhaar Reprint Request
Status”.
14. Further you can check delivery
status by visiting Department of Post website.
Hope now you will be able to
order Aadhaar reprint if you have lost your Aadhaar card.
