Accidental Insurance and Theft & Fire Insurance.
Insurance on your HDFC Bank
Credit Card
You need to do a minimum of 4
transactions each of Rs.100 and above on your HDFC Bank Credit Card in month to
be eligible for the Accidental Insurance and Theft & Fire & Insurance
in the following month. The Accidental Death cover will be for 5 times of your
credit limit and a maximum up to Rs. 50,00,000/-. The Fire & Burglary cover
for the items purchased above Rs. 5000/- using Insured Credit Card of HDFC
BANK. The maximum sum insured will be Rs. 2,00,000/- and up to a period of 180
days.
Accidental Death Insurance on
HDFC Bank Credit Card
You need to complete 4
transactions using HDFC Bank Credit Card in a calendar month to be eligible for
Accidental death insurance. The Accidental Death cover will be up to 5 times of
your credit card limit and a maximum up to Rs. 50,00,000/- for the subsequent
month.

Death Insurance
Following are the key features
of Accidental Death Insurance on your HDFC Bank Credit Card:
1. The Accidental Death cover shall
not exceed 5 times of your credit card limit subject to a maximum of Rs.
50,00,000/-.
2. This is applicable for
primary cards only.
3. To be eligible for a claim,
you need to do 4 Non-ATM swipes / E Commerce transactions compulsorily in the
month prior to the month of date of accident.
4. will be eligible for a
valid claim in the month of policy inception with 4 transactions apart from the
subsequent month coverage from the date of accident.
5. This policy covers accidental
death due to road or rail accidents only
5. The personal accident coverage
is on worldwide basis.
Procedure for Claim
1. Legal heir need to intimate
about accidental death at bankclaims@hdfcergo.com
within 30 days.
2. All relevant claims
document should be submitted at bankclaims@hdfcergo.com
within 60 days from date of loss. Documents required for Claim
3. HDFC Ergo will within three
days if any additional documents are required.
4. HDFC Ergo to process the
claim and settle the claim to claimant’s account if all documents are as per
the checklist.
5. The insurance company will
provide a repudiation letter to the claimant with the reason of repudiation in
case of claim repudiation.
Fire & Burglary Insurance
The Fire & Burglary cover
for the items purchased above Rs. 5000/- using HDFC Bank Credit Card. The
maximum sum insured will be Rs. 2,00,000/- and valid for period of 180 days.
Key features of Fire & Burglary Insurance
Following are the key features
of Fire & Burglary Insurance on your HDFC Bank Credit Card.
1. The Fire & Burglary
cover is valid for 180 days post purchase and for the items purchased above Rs.
5000/- using HDFC Bank Credit Card.
2. The coverage limit is Rs.
25,000/- per item for personal portable equipment.
3. The maximum sum insured is Rs.
2,00,000/- for any other assets.
4. The articles purchased
through your insured HDFC Bank Credit Card are covered. You need to immediately
report details of such loss or damage or injury to the Bank within 48 hours of
the incident.
5. Articles combustible in
nature, motor vehicles / pedal cycle deeds, unset precious stones, business
books, manuscripts, bonds, bills of exchange, promissory notes, share
certificates, document of any kind, jewellery and valuables are not covered
under this policy.
Procedure for Claim
1. You need to intimate any
loss event at bankclaims@hdfcergo.com
within 15 days.
2. All relevant claims
document should be submitted at bankclaims@hdfcergo.com
within 45 days from date of loss. Documents required for Claim

The feature is applicable on
Retail and Business Credit cards from 1st September,2018 till 31st August,2019.
Corporate Cards and Commercial Cards are not included in this promotion. This
