One Employee – One EPF Account

The EPFO (Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation) has opened a new facility for its members that allow the merger of their multiple PF accounts with their current UAN (Universal Account Number). This facility is available online with the name “One Employee – One EPF Account” on the EPFO website under employee services. This new facility allows members of EPFO to merge as many as 10 old PF / EPF account with their current UAN. However, to avail, this facility EPFO member has to fulfill certain requirements.

Requirements to link multiple EPF Accounts with UAN

Following are the requirements for linking your PF / EPF accounts with UAN

1. UAN number

2. Your current EPF account number should be linked with UAN number.

3. Your UAN number should be activated before availing this facility.

4. UAN should be KYC verified. All details such as Aadhaar number, PAN card number, and bank account number should be verified by your current employer.

How to link multiple EPF accounts with UAN?

You can link your old PF / EPF accounts with UAN using this online facility. Below is the step by step process to link your multiple EPF accounts with UAN.

1. Go to the official website of EPFO: http://www.epfindia.com

2. On the main page of the EPFO 
website, click on “Our Services” tab on the left-hand side of the home page to access “For Employees” services.

3.  Click on “For Employees” tab and it will take you to a new page with services listed under “For Employees” category.

4. Under the “Services” section, click on “One Employee – One EPF Account” from the various available options.

5. Again, you will be redirected to a new page. Fill the required details such as a mobile number which is registered at UAN portal, 12 digits UAN number and your current member Id which is linked with UAN.

6. Click on “Generate OTP” tab. An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.

7. Now enter the OTP in the provided field and verify it by clicking on “Verify OTP” tab.

8. You will be redirected to a new page. Enter all your old PF / EPF accounts. Accept the declaration and click on “Submit” button. Your old PF / EPF accounts will get linked to your UAN.

Hope now you can merge/link your multiple EPF accounts with UAN using EPFO’s “One Employee – One EPF Account” facility. The EPFO subscribers without UAN activation can also merge online through the transfer claim portal facility.
