LIC would not like to keep any benefit that is due to you pending for want of this very important information. Whenever you shift residences, please inform the new address to your LIC branch.
Otherwise, any communication LIC send to you, like premium notices, discharge vouchers for maturity and survival benefits etc., will get delayed in reaching you.
So for a better communication between you and your LIC branch, it is always advisable to change your address in LIC policies as soon as possible.

addresses, the inclusion of telephone
numbers, mobile numbers and email addresses in your contact addresses
information. Kindly inform your servicing branch to incorporate the same in
your policy records.
You have read it somewhere that you can change your address in LIC
policies online. But this is not true; you cannot change your address in LIC
policies via online mode. The only option to change your address in LIC
policies is using offline mode.
Change your Address in LIC Policies via Offline Mode
To change the address in LIC policies via offline mode is a conventional
process. In this process, you have to visit
your LIC home branch or your servicing branch. The steps to be followed while
changing your address in LIC policies are as below.
1. Visit your LIC home branch or your servicing branch.
2. Write a letter to LIC of India by mentioning all your policy details and
the purpose of changing the address.
3. Submit this letter to LIC of India along with new address proof.
4. After verifying the address proof and other details, they will accept
your letter.
5. After verifying all the documents your address will be updated
successfully.
6. Once your address is updated in your LIC policy, you can check the
same by login to LIC portal and under profile management option.
Change your Address in LIC Policies via Online Mode
As I mentioned above, you cannot change your address in LIC policies via
online mode. The only option to change your address in LIC policies is using offline
mode. Please refer the below image.
It states as “The address added and displayed here are for information
purpose. This address is not used for communication purpose. Please contact
your servicing branch in case you want to change
or update your address in policy records”.
Hence, there is no option to change your address in LIC policies via online
mode. Therefore, the only option to change your address in LIC policies is using
offline mode.
