How to change/update address for your HDFC Bank account?

In this post, I will show you how to change/update address for your HDFC Bank account.

How to change/update address for your HDFC Bank account?

You can change/update address for your HDFC Bank account in the following three ways

1. Update address through Net Banking

2. Apply online for address change

3. By visiting your nearest HDFC Bank branch

Change/update address through Net Banking

If you are a HDFC Net Banking user, you can change/update address for your HDFC Bank account via HDFC Net Banking.

1. Visit HDFC Net Banking website (https://netbanking.hdfcbank.com/netbanking/)

2. Log in to HDFC Net Banking using your user Id/customer Id and password.

3. Click on “Update Contact Details” option from the top menu.

4. Now select "Update Address" option.

5. Here, you will see a list of acceptable address proof documents. Go through the list of acceptable address proof documents, and scan a self-attested copy of one such address proof for uploading.

6. Now click on “Continue” button.

7. You will be re-directed to a new page.

8. Here you see an option to add and upload a document.

9. Verify your details, add the document, and then upload it.

10. Your Address will be updated with your HDFC Bank account, after verifying the document.

Apply online for address change

You can change/update address for your HDFC Bank account by filling an online form and sending it to the nearest HDFC bank branch.

1. Click here to fill the form.

2. Fill the details in the “Address Change Application Form”.

3. Print the completed form.

4. Sign the form and attach a self-attested address proof.

5. Send the request by courier, post or bearer to the nearest HDFC bank branch.

Address proof accepted are

a) For Resident Indian - List of ValidAddress proof documents.

b) For Non-Resident Indian (NRI) - List of ValidAddress proof documents.

Change/update address by visiting nearest HDFC Bank branch

1. Visit personally to your nearest HDFCbank branch.

2. Fill the application form available at the branch.

3. Submit the filled form along with the copy of the document.

4. Please carry your original documentation for verification.

Notable Points

1. Your address will be updated within 7 working days after receipt of the request and complete documentation.

2. Joint account holders need to fill separate request for address change.

3. You can check your updated address by logging on to Net Banking under "My Contact Details".

4. To know the status of an existing application or any other queries, please call up HDFC Phone Banking or write to HDFC bank with the details mentioned below.

a) HDFC Bank Branch where your request was submitted.

b) Date when your request was submitted.

c) Your complete new address and PIN code.
