How to Change & Generate HDFC Debit Card PIN Online?

Change your HDFC Debit Card PIN through Mobile Banking

Follow the below steps to set your new PIN instantly through mobile banking

1. Log in to Mobile Banking.

2. Click on cards tab.

3. Go to debit card menu.

4. Select “Instant Pin Generation’’ option.

5. Select your debit card number.

6. Set up a new PIN for your debit card.

7. You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number.

8. Authenticate by entering the received OTP in the provided field.

Note: If you are not able to set your HDFC debit card PIN instantly via Mobile Banking then use “Pin Regeneration’’ option to set your HDFC debit card PIN.

Change your HDFC Debit Card PIN through Net Banking

Follow the below mentioned steps to set new PIN instantly through Net Banking

1. Login to your HDFC Net Banking account.

2. Click on “Cards” tab.

3. Go to “Debit Cards” menu.

4. Select “Instant Pin Generation’’ under “Request” option.

5. Select your debit card number.

6. Set up a new PIN for your debit card.

7. You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number.

8. Authenticate by entering the received OTP in the provided field.

Note: If you are not able to set your HDFC debit card PIN instantly via Net Banking then use “Pin Regeneration’’ option to set your HDFC debit card PIN.

Regenerate your Debit Card PIN through Net Banking

Follow the below mentioned step by step process to regenerate your debit card PIN through Net Banking

1. Login to your HDFC Net Banking account.

2. Click on “Cards” tab.

3. Go to “Debit Cards” menu.

4. Select “Pin Regeneration’’ option under “Request” tab.

5. Select your debit card number and continue.

6. Select a “Reason” and confirm to receive an OTP on your registered mobile number.

7. You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number.

8. Insert your Debit/ATM Card in HDFC Bank ATM.

9. Choose the option “Create a new ATM PIN using OTP’’.

10. Enter the six digits OTP received on your mobile number and press OK.

11. Type your registered mobile number and press OK.

12. Enter and confirm new four digits PIN of your choice.

Note: If you are not able to change or regenerate your HDFC debit card PIN through Net Banking/ Mobile Banking, please call HDFC Phone Banking & request for a new PIN. Please keep your HDFC customer Id and TIN ready before calling up HDFC Phone banking. If you are not eligible for 'OTP PIN' facility, your HDFC debit card PIN will be sent to your registered address. Alternatively, you can also visit a nearest HDFC Bank branch to request a new PIN for your debit card.

Notable Point

1. There are no charges for changing/setting HDFC debit card PIN through ''Instant PIN generation'' using HDFC Net Banking facility. However, you have to pay a minimal charge of Rs.50/- if you regenerate your HDFC debit card PIN through ''PIN Regeneration'' using HDFC Net Banking facility.

2. Keep the following information confidential to keep your HDFC debit card safe and secure

a) ATM/Debit Card PIN.

b) HDFC Net Banking customer Id & password.

c) OTP and CVV Number.

d) Debit card details and expiry date.
